CCJCs’ Pursuit Of The Jaycee Hut Pays Off!

Keep your eyes on the Sanford channel! The Central Carolina Jaycees attended the August 5 Sanford City Council meeting, where the Council discussed the future of the Jaycee Hut, located at 809 Tryon Road. You can watch the meeting on the Sanford channel or view it online here.

The Council voted unanimously to allow the Central Carolina Jaycees to lease the Jaycee Hut, formerly home of the now-disbanded Sanford Jaycees. This meeting was a wonderful opportunity for the CCJCs to participate in local government, as well as get to know our Council members.

Here we are with Mayor Cornelia Olive and Council members Joe Martin (at-large), Charles Taylor (2nd Ward), and Mike Stone (at-large).

Congratulations! I look forward to the city working with the JC’s and making the ‘Hut” a nice facility for your group and the neighborhood.

  2. Chad Adams says:

This group is to be commended on the way it acted and the hard work they’ve put over the years to build a great Jaycee Chapter. I look forward to reading the CPG on this government involvement.

Congrats to all! Now the hard work begins.
