EXTRA!, EXTRA! : CCJC’s Storm Spring Convention

Former Central Carolina Jaycee President and aging member, Chad Adams, summarized the absolute slaying of NC Jaycee competition by the CCJCs at Spring Convention the weekend of May 18-22 as, “unbelievable.”

Our tiny chapter finished eighth in the state in Parade of Excellence — a points system designed to quantify chapter activity for the trimester.

Rebecca Johnson got 1st place for speak-up in the novice category, but lost out in points total to the professional speak-up winner.

Rebecca’s Elizabeth Hash BBQ Benefit won first place for community fund raising project.

The ID Project “Right Way to Write” won first place in the state for ID project.

Chairman’s Planning Guide (CPG), or how to run a project: Yardsale, 2nd in the category of management; Soup-Your-Bowl, first place in membership retention, 2nd place overall for membership; Elizabeth Hash BBQ Benefit, 1st place in community fund raising.

Hampton was nominated to Sharon Worthington’s “Team Go Beyond”

Matt received “All Star Local Director of the Trimester,” and Dana received “All Star President of the trimester.”
