Show your heart this Valentine’s by helping the Central Carolina Jaycees support a vibrant, 3-year-old little girl Payton and her family.
Payton has been diagnosed with HLH, which stands for hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. HLH is a life-threatening immunodeficiency that affects people of all ages and ethnic groups. Common symptoms are fevers, enlarged spleen, low blood count, and liver abnormalities. At least half of the patients with HLH will also experience inflammation of the brain which can lead to a wide variety of neurologic problems.
Payton and her family desperately need help with medical expenses between the cost of Payton’s treatment, the traveling back and forth to UNC Hospitals, parking fees, and the toll of being out of work to take care of a sick child.
Help raise money for Payton and her family by eating at Chick-Fil-A of Sanford on Tuesday, February 26 from 5pm to 8pm. You can eat in, take out, or order through the drive-thru and 10% of your bill will be donated to Payton — provided you let them know you’re there for the fundraiser.
You can also donate to the fundraiser without purchasing anything. Stop in to donate in person or mail checks payable to the Central Carolina Jaycees to PO Box 1532, Sanford NC 27331. Make sure to put “Hearts for Payton” in the memo line.
